Xiaomi’s new phone Mi 7 has been spotted online earlier with reports revealing its features. Recently, a report by the company confirms that Xiaomi Mi 7, the next flagship smartphone will sport the wireless charging technology.
According to a report on Android Headlines, the announcement that the Mi 7 smartphone will feature wireless charging was made by the company on their official WeChat channel. The brand has also revealed that it has tied up with US-based Integrated Device Technology, which means that the upcoming Xiaomi phone will support Qi wireless charging standard.
Three months back, Xiaomi had joined Wireless Power Consortium which implied that the company would be working towards featuring wireless charging technology for its next upcoming Xiaomi phone. The company is most likely to announce Xiaomi Mi 7 during Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will be held in February in Barcelona.

Other than this, the phone is claimed to come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor instead of the fingerprint reader. Reports for Xiaomi Mi 7 have also hinted that the phone will come with AI features. Additionally, the dual rear cameras of the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset.
The company has also confirmed that Mi 7 will sport Snapdragon 845, Qualcomm’s forthcoming flagship processor along with 6GB of RAM. Mi 7 will also run on a battery with 3950 mAh power and will support dual-SIM dual-standby.
On the camera front, the rear camera of the Mi 7 is believed to feature dual cameras with a combination of two 19-megapixel sensors with 4x optical zoom and a f/1.7 aperture. For the front-facing selfie camera, the phone is said to feature a 16-megapixel sensor. Also, Mi 7 will come in two storage variants. One with 6GB of RAM and internal storage of 128GB and the other with 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage.
