Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC recently launched two latest mobiles in a brand new U series- HTC U Ultra and U Play. Both smartphones feature the new Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based system called as Sense Companion which learns the user’s daily patterns to provide suggestions and advice.
The price of the HTC U Ultra and U Play smartphone is yet to be announced by the company, but HTC has said that the smartphones will get launched in India in March this year. The mobiles will be offered in Cosmic Pink, Ice White, Sapphire Blue, and Brilliant Blue color options.
HTC Sense Companion
The Sense Companion system of HTC U Ultra and U Play smartphones is claimed to learn the user’s activities and provide recommendations accordingly to the user. For instance, it can suggest you dress warmly if it’s a snow outside before leaving home; recommend you to keep your phone charged if it figures out that you require more power until you return home.
The HTC U Ultra smartphone features a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display with a secondary 2-inch display with 1040×160 pixels resolution. The secondary screen feature was previously seen on LG V20 smartphone. The device is equipped with a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the HTC U Ultra offers a 12MP UltraPixel primary rear camera with 1.55-micron pixels, OIS, dual tone LED flash, BSI Sensor, and f/2.8 aperture. Up front, it has a 16MP camera with UltraPixel and BSI sensor. For connectivity, the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, NFC, DLNA, GPS, HTC Connect, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
On the other hand, the HTC U Play smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone come equipped with a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB of internal storage.
For photography, the HTC U Play offers a 16MP primary rear camera with OIS, BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual tone LED flash. For selfies, the device has a 16MP sensor with UltraPixel mode, f/2.0 aperture with 28mm focal length, and BSI sensor. The handset supports connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, NFC, Miracast, HTC Connect, GPS, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port. The device is powered by a 2500mAh battery with fast charging support.
