Sony Xperia X2 Leaked Ahead of its Launch at MWC 2017

It seems like Sony is trying too much to keep its Xperia X2 smartphone under wraps. However, this attempt appears to have failed as some new images of the alleged smartphone have leaked recently. The leaked images provided the first look of the upcoming mobile. TechTastic which is a Netherlands-based website has published several photos which are believed to be the alleged Xperia X2. According to the leaks, the Xperia X2 resembles with the existing phones of the company.

The leaked images didn’t reveal much information about the Xperia X2 smartphone. It is expected to replace the company’s current flagship Xperia XZ smartphone. Based on the recent leaks, the company is using an Omnibalance design for the Xperia X2 smartphone which is usual across all Sony smartphone line-up. One handset in the image flaunts a large bezel screen, whereas the other seems to have slim bezels.

The design of both phones is in line with Sony’s design footprint. Having said this, the recently leaked smartphone might be a version of the same handset. Then, a live image of the Xperia X2 revealed the memory specifications of the device. As per the leaks, it will have 4GB of RAM and a front-facing camera. Moreover, one image also comprises a tablet with large bezels on each side. The identity of the tablet spotted in the image is not revealed yet. It could be an existing tablet or we’ve just received a glimpse of the upcoming tablet.

Previously, several reports were claiming that Sony is about to unveil at least five smartphones during the upcoming MWC 2017 event in Barcelona by the end of the month. The reports didn’t reveal the specific names of the smartphones, rather it mentioned codenames. No further information about the upcoming mobiles is known yet.

Sony has scheduled a press conference on February 27 at the MWC 2017 trade show. If Xperia X2 is the upcoming flagship device from Sony, then it is believed to get a launch at the MWC event.
