Samsung is about to launch a new smartphone under the popular J-series. An upcoming mobile called the Galaxy J2 (2018) has been spotted on a Russian e-commerce site. The alleged phone was previously leaked via early renders. Now, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) handset has surfaced on company’s official website in Russia.
Interestingly, the official listing was for the protective case of the Galaxy J2 (2018) handset and it has revealed the design details of the assumed phone. It seems like the 2018 model will be launched soon in Russia and some emerging markets later.

The official listing of the cases for Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) suggested that the phone will follow the aesthetics of its predecessor. There will be a physical home button which goes together with two capacitive keys on both sides. Moreover, there will be a selfie camera with LED flash module at the front.
While on the bottom, there will be a micro USB and microphone. On the rear, there will be a primary camera setup accompanied by LED flash and loudspeaker grille. Also, a 3.5mm headphone jack is visible on the device.
The listing suggests that the Galaxy J2 (2018) phone will be offered in multiple colour options like Pink, Black, Gold, and Coral Blue.
Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018): Rumoured specifications
Coming to the specifications, the upcoming Samsung mobile is rumoured to feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. The device is accelerated by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
For photography, there will be an 8MP primary rear camera clubbed with a secondary 5MP selfie shooter. The device will be powered by a 2600mAh battery. Besides, it is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and may get upgraded to the latest Android Oreo version.
To recall, the Galaxy J2 (2017) features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display powered by a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM. It has a 5MP rear as well as a 2MP front-facing camera. The handset receives juice from a 2000mAh battery.
