Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) Benchmarked

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) smartphone was already spotted on benchmarking site GeekBench, the same device has again been spotted on GeekBench. The device has scored 640 points on the single-core test and received 1884 points in the multi-core test. It has also cleared the FCC regulation.

Samsung mobiles had launched the Galaxy Grand Prime as a selfie-centric smartphone back in 2014. The company is reportedly working on the 2016 version of the Galaxy Grand Prime Smartphone after almost two years. The upcoming mobile was earlier spotted on Indian import-export site Zauba with SM-G532F model number. Then the device appeared on benchmarking websites like GFXBench and GeekBench, and recently it was spotted on US FCC.

Based on the GeekBench listing, the upcoming mobile Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) is expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The device is equipped with a MediaTek MT6737T 1.44GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. The listing has not revealed further details about the upcoming mobile.

Earlier, the Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) was been spotted on GFXBench which has revealed specifications of the smartphone. According to this, the device will feature a 5.1-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display, MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage. It will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) will feature an 8MP autofocus primary rear camera with a LED flash. The secondary camera will bear a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calling. The device includes connectivity options like GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, as per the listing. Sensors on the board include light sensor, proximity, and accelerometer.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime that launched in September 2014 was priced at Rs 15,499 in India. The device has a 5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS powered by a quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The device is backed by a 2600mAh battery.
