Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) With Front and Back Glass Spotted In Leaked Renders

It seems like Samsung is working on a successor to the Galaxy A8 that launched in 2015. The alleged Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) smartphone has been spotted with leaked renders recently on Twitter via a popular leaker, @OnLeaks. The existing Galaxy A8 was launched in August 2015 in India.

The supposed renders of Galaxy A8 (2016) looks quite similar to the Galaxy S7 design. The dimensions of upcoming Galaxy A8 (2016) are expected to be at 156.5×77.5×7.3mm which is comparatively larger than the Galaxy S7 which measures dimensions at 142.4×69.6×7.9mm.

Last year’s Galaxy A8 featured an all-metal unibody design, while the latest leaked renders are suggesting glass design on both front and back side. The front panel of the smartphone flaunts a 2.5D curved display with the integration of earpiece and selfie camera with other sensors. The Home button is present on the front panel along with capacitive buttons for navigation. The physical home button is likely to feature an integrated fingerprint scanner.

On the other hand, the rear panel includes a glass panel which gets slightly tapered towards the edges. The primary rear camera is visible on back panel with LED flash. Surprisingly, the speaker grills appear to be missing on back panels. Apparently, the speakers look like relocated at the right side of the device.

The specifications of Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) was recently spotted on Geekbench with a model number SM-A810F. The device is expected to be equipped with a 64-bit Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset which is clocked at a speed of 1.5GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and runs on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

The smartphone is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The device is expected to be equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The primary rear camera of Galaxy A8 (2016) is likely to be a 16MP sensor along with a 5MP secondary front camera.

Samsung has not confirmed any of the rumored specification yet. Furthermore, no clear indication of the anticipated release date and price of the Galaxy A8 (2016) is available as of now.
