HP Spectre x360 15 and Envy x2 Launched at CES 2018

The annual CES trade show has finally started in Las Vegas where various tech companies will show off their products and technologies for the year ahead. One among them is the global computing and printing giant, HP. The company has just launched two new laptops at the CES event called the HP Spectre x360 15 and Envy x2.

One of the latest HP laptops is a convertible laptop called Spectre x360 15 which is touted as the world’s most powerful computing device. It boasts the new 8-th Gen Intel chips which come integrated with AMD Graphics. Also, there is another variant equipped with Nvidia graphics. Besides, the company introduced its HP Envy x2 laptop which packs Intel Core processor and has Always-Connected PC experience.

The Spectre X360 15 is offered in two variants- one with 8-th Gen Intel Core i7 8705G processor with Radeon RX Vega M graphics, while other comes with 8-th Gen Intel Core processor with Nvidia GeForce MX 150 graphics. Both variants have support for fast charging. The one with AMD graphics is said to deliver up to 12 hours of battery life; whereas the Nvidia graphics model is rated for up to 13.5 hours of life.

HP Spectre x360 15 flaunt an aluminium CNC body and have shiny hinges. The laptop offers a 4K UHD9 15.6-inch touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top. There is an optional HP Tilt Pen set which adds further functionalities to this laptop. There is an IR camera equipped with the device for Windows Hello; as well as, there is fingerprint scanner for added security.

The HP Spectre x360 15 weighs 2.1 kg. It will be made available for purchase at $1,369 (roughly Rs 87,000) in the US market.

HP Envy x2 Hybrid

It is a hybrid laptop with Always-Connected PC features. It has a fanless CNC aluminium shell which looks sturdy. The HP Envy x2 features a 12.3-inch touch WUXGA+ display wrapped under a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The notebook comes with a Windows Ink Pen. Furthermore, there is a backlit keyboard present on the laptop which is ideal for working in low-lit conditions.

The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home and the company claims to have up to 17 hours of battery life on the device. Under the chassis, there is a 7-th Gen Intel Core TM Y-series processor paired with up to 8GB LPDDR3 RAM as well as 256GB PCIe SSD storage. The laptop offers a 13MP rear and a 5MP front-facing camera
