Huawei had launched its Honor V10 smartphone back in November last year in China. The company later introduced a global variant of the V10 smartphone called Huawei Honor View 10. The Chinese mobile maker was expected to launch the Honor View 10 smartphone in India on January 8; however, the company has revealed its India pricing ahead of the expected launch date.
The Honor View 10 is officially launched in India at a price of Rs 29,999 and it will be available for purchase from January 8, 12 am IST. The specifications offered on the device are exceptional considering the sub-Rs 30,000 price point. It will compete against the other flagship smartphones available in the market.
Honor View 10: Features
The latest Huawei mobile in India will be available exclusively via Amazon India on January 8. The registrations for the handset have already been started on the e-tailer site. The device packaging will include a 9v-2A Quick Charger, a protective case, USB Type-C cable, and a pre-attached screen guard.
The View 10 smartphone features an 18:9 aspect ratio display, dual rear camera setup, a top-notch chipset with built-in NPU (neural processing unit beneficial for AI-based tasks), and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The AI-based features on the device include Facial Unlock technology which can unlock the device in 400ms. It can be also used for payment-level authentication. The 3D face reconstruction on View 10 uses sub-millimetre reconstruction accuracy. It uses a 300k-point cloud reconstruction within merely 10 seconds.
The other AI features on the handset include Smart Tips, intelligent scene, object recognition, and AI-accelerated translator. Apart from object recognition, the mobile supports motion detection which adjusts the camera settings. In addition, it also has an AI-powered Portrait mode for the front-facing camera.

The latest Huawei mobile in India runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS powered by company’s own EMUI 8.0. The handset features a 5.99-inch full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display boasts a pixel density of 403ppi. Under the hood, there is a HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor accompanied by a dedicated Neural Processing Unit for managing the AI-based tasks. Furthermore, the device is accelerated by its 6GB RAM.
For photography, the Honor View 10 brags a dual rear camera setup of a 16MP RGB sensor paired with a 20MP monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The camera supports PDAF and has dual LED flash. Up front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. On the storage front, there is 128GB of internal space offered on the device which could get extended up to 256GB using microSD card.
For connectivity, the Honor View 10 comes with 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Infrared, NFC, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, GPS/A-GPS, along with a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset has built-in sensors such as a digital compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Moreover, there is a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home key.
The handset measures dimensions at 157×74.98×6.97mm and weighs 172 grams. A 3750mAh battery completes the package. The company is claiming to deliver a talk time of up to 23 hours on 3G networks as well as the standby time of 22 days on a single charge. There is fast charging technology which is powered by a 5V/4.5A charger.
