Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has expanded its wearable line-up in India with the launch of Honor Band A2 on Friday. The fitness band was announced last year in May and is finally going on sale in India from January 8 with a price tag of Rs. 2,499. The focus point of this band is the large display and improved health tracking features.
Honor band A2 fitness tracker will be exclusively available on Amazon and will sport a black finish. The fitness tracker will come with a 0.96-inch OLED touchscreen and a built-in heart rate sensor. The embedded heart rate sensor uses an intelligent proprietary algorithm so that the fitness band can calculate the heart rate data precisely.
Additionally, the latest Huawei fitness band can also calculate the time, heart rate and distance data of exercises like walking, running, jogging or cycling. The data of the number of steps walked, time and calories burnt all day is displayed on the connected smartphone.
In addition to that, the Honor Band A2 can also allow users to track their sleep patterns and suggest solutions if any sleep issues are diagnosed. The sleep algorithm and heart rate modules calculate the difference between light sleep, deep sleep and awake status.
Furthermore, with the Honor Band A2 on the wrist users can receive real-time call and message notifications. The fitness band is also sweat and water resistant and can offer up to nine days of battery life on a single full charge. The Honor A2 fitness band is releasing months after the launch of the Honor Band 3 in India. Honor 3 featured a 0.9-inch PMOLED display and came with a price tag of Rs. 2,799.
Speaking on the launch, P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group said, “The Honor Band A2 is the best in category wearable gadget with smart health and notification features. The Honor A2 is more than just a simple fitness band that not only helps you live a healthy lifestyle but also stay updated on the social front as well.”
