Last year, Huawei introduced its first quad-camera smartphone called the Honor 9i. While the handset is already available for purchase in India, the company is now gearing up to launch another smartphone which will have four cameras on it. The Chinese tech company has announced that will bring the Honor 9 Lite smartphone soon to the Indian market via Flipkart.
To recall, the Honor 9 Lite was launched last month in China. It comes with four cameras (2 front and 2 rear sensors) and features glass unibody design. In China, the latest Huawei mobile costs CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs 11,700) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 17,500).
Honor 9 Lite: Specifications
The Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch Full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display flaunting an aspect ratio of 18:9. It has a pixel density of 428ppi. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS powered by EMUI 8.0 skin on top. Under the hood, there is a HiSilicon Kirin 659 octa-core processor. Like mentioned before, there will be option to pick variant of 3GB RAM + 32GB storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.
For photography, the Honor 9 Lite offers dual camera modules on both the rear and front panel. Both the sides offer a combination of 13MP + 2MP sensors. The rear camera setup supports PDAF and has LED flash. The phone supports microSD card up to 256GB in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.
On the connectivity front, the Honor 9 Lite comes with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, OTG, micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors onboard include a digital compass, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensor.
The Honor 9 Lite is powered by a 3000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time on the 3G network and up to 24 days of standby time. The device takes about 2 hours 20 minutes to charge completely. It measures dimensions at 151×71.9×7.6mm and weighs 149 grams.
