On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is available for purchase right away. While the other premium smartphones are offered in various storage variants, Galaxy S7 Edge is only available in 32GB variant in India and is priced at Rs 56,000. In addition, the Smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 5,000 in August and is now available at Rs 50,900.
The Google Pixel is sized at 5-inch and sports full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 441ppi pixel density. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 features a slightly smaller 4.7-inch display with 750×1334 pixels resolution and 326ppi pixel density. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from Samsung mobiles features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 401ppi pixel density. Looking at the display specification, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a larger and better display among others.
The Google Pixel is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and the fastest Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is equipped with company’s own Exynos 8890 octa-core SoC for Indian model and features a 4GB of RAM with Mali-T880 MP12 GPU. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 sports its own A10 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. All the three latest mobiles have enough power to handle the multi-tasking functions and heavy games.
The Google Pixel smartphone is offered in two storage options- 32GB and 128GB and furthermore, Google has offered unlimited cloud storage for photos and videos for Pixel smartphone buyers. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is offered only in 32GB model in India, while the iPhone 7 comes in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB variants. All these smartphones don’t have storage expansion support.
In terms of camera, Google has touted its Pixel smartphone as the ‘best in the market’. The device has a 12.3MP primary rear camera with popular camera features such as dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and OIS. The camera on Google Pixel has the highest score of 89 on DxOMark. On the front, the smartphone has an 8MP sensor for selfies.

All these smartphones are equipped with non-removable batteries.
The operating system is one of the top decision influencers while buying a premium smartphone device. The choice in between an Android over an iOS device, and vice-versa is quite arguable. The latest mobile Google Pixel runs on Android 7.0.1 Nougat OS while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. On contrary, the iPhone 7 runs on company’s own iOS 10.
While the other smartphone makers are trying hard to get a solid spot in the highly competitive market, Samsung and Apple has been continued its dominance in the premium smartphone segment. The arrival of Google in the premium segment could change the current scenario. While the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is available in India, the other two smartphones are yet to arrive. This could be very early to make a final call on which smartphone is better among these three premium smartphones. As investing your hard earned money on such highly priced device should return the best value of money.
