Apple Unveils 9.7-Inch iPad, Red Colour Variants For iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus

Apple has just announced a cheaper 9.7-inch iPad and a special Red edition of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones via a press release. The new iPhone versions will be available to order in stores across 40 countries and regions for a starting price of $749 (roughly Rs 49,000) from March 24. The updated iPad is price starts at $329 (roughly Rs 21,500) featuring a brighter display, worldwide LTE support, Touch ID, the A9 Chipset, and iOS 10.

Apple has released a special edition iPhone which will be available in vibrant Red colour with an aluminium finish as a part of RED Campaign that contributes to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. The company has mentioned in the press release that it is the world’s largest corporate donor to the Global Fund and is contributing over $130 million.

The special edition Red iPhone has joined the current Apple RED lineup, which comprises a line of products, iPod, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear headphones, iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case, Beats Pill+ Portable Speaker, and a range of accessories for Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad.

The new Apple iPad 9.7 model will arrive in April to the Indian shores with a price tag of Rs 28,900 for a 32GB Wi-Fi model, whereas the 32GB Wi-Fi model with cellular connectivity will cost Rs 39,900. The Red variants of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will also arrive from April in India. The iPhones will be priced similarly as the regular colour models as the 128GB Red iPhone 7 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 82,000.

Furthermore, Apple also announced a free new app called as Clips which helps users to merge video clips, music, and photos for sharing them via messages and social media. It has artistic filters, emojis, and shapes to flaunt the creative side in you. Clips will also be available for devices running on iOS 10.3. The app is competent to automatically recognise people in the video and let you add them as recipients of the messages.

Apple has announced the expanded storage capacity for the iPhone SE smartphone as well. The company introduced new silicon and leather case colours for the iPhone 7 series.
